AND before you buy lining fabric (at today's prices ), see if there is an unneeded shirt around the house or in the rag bag!
My machine is a Brother LB6800 Sewing/Embroidery Project Runway. It has a button you press that takes the place of the foot pedal. You can go super slow, normal speed or FAST. Turning it off is as simple as pushing the button again!! Or you can use the foot pedal and chase it halfway across the room...LOLOL. Whoever came up with this one deserves many thanks.
