Tessagin - thanks for posting this. We talk about "no quilt police" and then there is negativity about someones's happy purchase. I have three basic Brother machines that have been "dissed" on various sections of this board but guess what. They sew through anything, are not fussy about thread and are over 10 years old. I also have a bunch of vintage machines that I enjoy. I hope the OP has many happy hours of sewing ion her new machine.
