I have the Pfaff Expression 2.0 and I love it. I got it five years ago. I have only been quilting 5 years, so I don't have quilting experience on any other machine.
My husband and I are both amateur radio operators, and the sewing machines I have had before this one (I have been sewing for 50 years, just not quilting that long...) were noisy and caused static on our ham radios. My husband rigged up a "noise level detector" that I took with me when I tried out the various machines. It looked sort of like a small transistor radio, if you remember those. The sales clerks were amazed that I was checking out sound levels, but all were tolerant of me. The Pfaff was the quietest that I tested.
I'd say if you like the machine, go for it!
