If you have more of the green fabric, I would add it in the middle. With quilting maybe stippling you will not need a actual pieced block but could use a solid piece of fabric. With the green, I think the pattern on each side would radiate from the center. If you hVe to piece maybe start with dark green in center strip and move out to lighter green colors.
