Be sure to read both projects the first directions and the one after it with the lace and balloon. We use to make these years ago. After you read the directions you will understand this. We sometimes used more then one layer of fabric. We would do fabric, stiffener,fabric,stiffener and so on. It depended on what type of bowl we were making and what it was going to be used for. The lace and balloon we also did. I had forgotten all about it untill I accidently got to this site for something else. Have Fun :D
