I actually did it a lot like a pillowcase. I sewed it all together with the exception of one half of one side, turned it rightside-out, stuffed it with the batting, and then handstitched it closed. I had a friend who told me to do it this way but it was such a pain with the batting. I'm learning from the school of hard knocks! ;) lol
I've been watching youtube now for a while. Good stuff! I think I might have an idea of where to go from here. I'll need to get more fabric though! LOL
