I agree that it is a sad commentary on our society. We need 1 on 1 interaction, so we can talk to each other when we are together. I've gotten upset with my DD several times when she was home to visit, and she spent over half the time texting. Our time together is always limited and I want to spend it with her, not her and her texting.
