I first saw Monale's posting of her version of the log cabin cross wallhanging:

I knew I wanted to make one and ordered the pattern on Etsy by QuiltFox Design. Since I have not done log cabin blocks before, it was a challenge for me and a good experience. I liked the way Monale had quilted her rays coming from the center of the cross, so I copied that idea.
I would like to do another one in blues, since I just picked some fabrics from my stash for this first one.
