Found a really good use for my auto thread cutter button the other day. Was quilting a lap quilt, did something dumb, and jammed up the thread -- on the bottom side of the quilt. Tugging at the quilt didn't help and I couldn't get under the quilt to use scissors. What a mess. Thread cutter to the rescue! One snip and I was able to get the quilt out from under the needle.

Question - the cutter leaves the bobbin thread just long enough to peek out from the throat plate. How do you "grab" the bobbin thread, either before inserting the quilt under the needle or after, to bring the bobbin thread to the top before sewing? If I don't do that, the thread gets all jammed.
