My sister sent me these pix. I lived in Comox for several years. My boys and I often had picnics at this beach.

In January 2009, the weather was so cold that the bald eagles were cruising over our houses looking for
helpless cats to make a quick meal of.
Some kind souls decided to feed the eagles down at Goose Spit so they could survive the cold spell
without eating our pets.
Here's what happened! Take note, this is Vancouver Island ... NOT ALASKA !
