Here's the machine. We figure it's from the early to mid 1970's. The white thing next to the collar with the set screw is one of the thrust washers installed. The other went in behind the counter weight on the other side of the support bearing where the link to the needle shaft is. They were split so Greg didn't have to take the shaft apart. All in all it was very clean and sews great now. He's got another find on the bench, a 60's Kenmore he says is a re-branded White. Boy, teach a man to "fish" and he's gone all day!
