It is only a 3gb software update, and afterwards your computer works almost like an Apple iPad. For me, the only difference is that my pc runs a lot faster
...and programs are now called apps.
Sure, I had to adjust to certain changes, but once I got over my apprehension, it was all so easy!!!
ALL my quilting, embroidery and book-keeping software is functioning as before....well, maybe even a bit better, because the computer is faster.
For safety sake, I first saved all my files, etc. on an external hard-drive, but it was not even necessary.
I don't miss the old Windows 7 or 8 .....this one "feels" lighter and easier to use.

ETA: Win10 is free until (? July) 2016. After that, you have to buy the program.
BUT.....ALL updates are free of charge. Just like Apple.
