Gave my niece a shower and cohosted with her girlfriend. I was not told until the day of that it was a 'Snoopy" themed shower. Her mother, my sister, didn't tell me. I would've made a Snoopy quilt and diaper stacker. The girlfriend paid for the invites and we tallied and split the costs. That was 10 years ago and she's having another one. I won't be there but will get a gift card. Another "Snoopy" but boyfriend wants Scooby Do. It will be a couples this time and all the siblings will be there. Fine by me.
