When my granddaughter was in college, she also had such a challenge. So she and I made a small lap robe with lots of blue and green cool colored squares on one side. On that side we free motion wrote "350" in very large numbers. We did bobbin work with invisible thread on top and fine yarn in the bobbin.
On the other side is written "387 What's the plan?" on hot red, yellow and orange fabrics. We started with squares and chopped them up to be very annoying. This is supposed to represent 350 parts per billion as the amount of carbon dioxide that we can live with comfortably as opposed to the amount at that time which was 387 ppb. Now it's even higher and going up.
