How about a huge crockpot of soup (served in small paper or plastic cups with plastic spoons), maybe some slider-sized sandwiches and an assortment of cheeses, fruit and veggies, crackers, dips, etc. Cupcakes are a really "in" dessert or you can put out a tray with brownies and cookies, or maybe a nice poundcake or assorted pies. How nice of you and your husband to provide this!
