This is good to know about batiks. I have a ton and would not have through to worry about the bleeding.
I don't know if I'm just lucky, but I have never washed any of my fabric until AFTER I have completed the quilt. I use batiks a lot, and I've never had them run! Mind you, I ONLY ever wash in cold water!
Thanks all to everyone else, I'm definitely going to be looking at those suggestions!
Right now, I have decided on a 6x6 block of the Bermuda sunrise BUT ... wait for it ... each block will only be 6x6 inches ... so there are lots of small pieces LOL
