I have a big board and it is one of the best purchases I've made! I can't imagine what took me so long. I was at our second home over the holidays and had to use a regular ironing board and wondered how I put up with it all those years. It is wonderful to be able to lay the full width of fabric (selvage to selvage) out to iron.
