I tried the store bought crust. DH and I agreed no more. I followed the directions to the letter. PITA. Making mine from scratch like I used to turned out better and didn't have that goddawful plastic taste/feel to it. I've made about a dozen pies in the past 6 months and made my own dough. So much cheaper in the long run. I learned from my mother and gma how to piece some together. They may not have been blue ribbon pretty but compliments were more about the taste. My only requirement was they had to buy the filling ( no canned), frozen or fresh worked best
