It wouldn't work for me with my sewing machine - it does not appear it would hold the weight of a heavy machine, and when I sew I do more than just push the fabric thru the machine. But if I was still working, I would definitely buy one for my desk. One place I worked had the adjusting work space, with the touch of a button it lifted the work space up to stand and work and that was wonderful. But for some reason when we moved to a new location they left those in the building.
