Here is a tutorial I did on Fabric Boxes with French Seams. You could do French seams on any tote pattern you have. You just have to understand the concept and think it through (I talk to myself out loud
) as you are doing it. Depending on how tall your tote is, it may or may not stand up alone. When I was trying this out the first time I studied tutorials on French seams and then applied the concept. Hope this helps.

Thank you PaperPrincess. This is the idea I was looking for. Although I have done French seams I could not think where to start for this result. The bag I saw had the French seams on the outside and for me made the bag more interesting. This will get me going. Thanks again.
