Mother (mostly) made this one a year before her stroke, with my assistance, using stabilizer, different sized blocks and insertion pieced blocks. My niece took the photo; she's not a quilter, but 'commissioned' it for her DH 40th birthday. My mom, bless her heart, made it, including all the cost associated with it, for $100. (I was furious for mom's sake; reason #1 why I refused to make it and only contributed the piecing fabrics.
