Default More Mendhi hearts

After spending five days with a bad back and ice packs, I finally sat at the machine today. I finished some of my embroidered hearts I started last week.

I made an Asian one with green silk dragons in the fabric. I was gifted a bunch of silk Asian fabric, finally found a use for one. Boy does this fabric unravel, wow, I thought there would be nothing left by the time the binding went on. Unfortunately for the binding, I ended up with one corner that had the joining seam in it, hate when that happens.

The orange one is made with South African Swe Swe fabric in the borders. It has a logo stamped on the backside and smells funny, like batik does. I found the fabric at a quilt show and the vendor used to reside in South Africa and had a quilt shop. I have no idea how she brought all this fabric with her, but, I was happy to find it. I spent every dime I had on me at the time and did not regret it.
