I'll take a stab at trying to help with this...
First of all, this is not a "continuous" design. What I mean is that this design is not draw in such a manner that you can continuously quilt it without having to stop and start and/or do a lot of back-tracking. The little one, however, CAN be done without stopping, it's really just like two figure 8's nested together.

I Googled "stencils for double wedding ring" and found several that could be continuously quilted. Here's one design that is very similar to what you have, yet it can be done without stopping or back-tracking or overlapping. You just have to plan it and practice it. I think it's simple enough that you could probably get good enough to free-hand the design.
