my table was made from plans from keepsake quilting & made by a local cabinetmaker for around $700--much less than the cabinets sold in stores. i've since gotten a custom insert from sew steady so my machine is flush with the tabletop. link to the plans:

my cutting table is from sauder & i was able to assemble it myself. it even has a built in outlet.
