If it's at the edge I would fix it. If it is in the body of the quilt, I would clip the stitching, put the seams in the correct position and use an invisible hand ladder stitch to do the seam. If I remember right the edge has large white triangles with bias edges and I would worry they might stretch if the quilt was taken apart and resewn.
