Wow, that's a great quilt!
I have to admit, my reaction on seeing your thread title was a groan. I've been thinking that not all quilts need to be rescued. Some were made for utility, and if they get damaged or used up in the process, hey, that's what they were for.
Your quilt doesn't fit that category, and judging by it, I'm betting the others from that lady's hands won't either. So I'm very glad you're rescuing them, and I hope you'll post photos of the others when you get them - with your kids, of course! (Maybe your son will find one he likes, too.)
