It is cute, cute, cute. After the first "spit up" and the first "blow out" diaper, no one will be looking at your stitches. They will just be hoping that the stains will come out. If the baby drags it around the house for the next few years, it will be looking a bit rough at that point. Hope they appreciate your work.
