Great job on the clean up. You brought back memories of the machine I learned to sew on. My mom got married in 1941, so I'm assuming she got a machine that year. She made all of my sister's & my clothes. I don't remember how much metal her machine had. I do have the cabinet that the machine sat in, but with a 1960's Singer machine I got when I went to college.
