I was afraid that might be the case. I noticed that National/Eldredge feet have a slight Z shape in profile to accommodate the shortened space--the manufacturer just bent a White foot a little. Oh, well. Including The Eldredge I have nine machines now (which utterly astounds me), so if I need a special foot, it certainly won't be a problem. It takes the anxiety out of the hunt for parts.
