So, on to the art deco cabinet.
Dismantled. Ikea would be proud.
I thought about painting it, but I have such a hard time painting wood that's never been painted. It just feels wrong.
So, I'm going to stain it a darker, more rich color kind of like the floor is. There's a band of wood around the bottom that's stained a different color. It will be the same color as the rest of the desk.
The trim on the front will be stained almost black. I think it'll still keep it's vintage charm but update it a little. The stool is going to be recovered in cow hide for some pizzazz. It's going to be sweet.
I've already got the main part of the desk in the garage and stripped.
