I just made the Almond Cake. It's so wonderful but the recipe says DO NOT REMOVE FROM PAN until completely cooled...they MEAN THAT! It was almost cool and I wanted to send one of the loaves home with a friend...she got large cake pieces. When I make it again I plan to put a wax paper liner in the pan and that will help hold the cake together until ready to serve.
The recipe only makes one small loaf. I doubled the recipe and got 2 loaves. Doubling the recipe didn't hurt it at all. Also, this goes together in about 10 minutes and is made with everything that a person always has in the cupboard. I will be making these cakes often.
