That's it, Moonwork...you are hired! Thank you. Moonwork did highlight some important items. Anyone with questions, don't hesitate to ask because as I said, I'll answer or veteran boomers will. They're often the fastest responders! (Moonwork, no I did not get your email but I've already added you to the swap. Let me know which group/s you want and if any contact info has changed. Thank you!)

TravelingGramma's cream low volume blocks were fabulous. Other than TG, I was the only one to see them all together and they really were something. It was quite unlike any other fabric at the time and I remember thinking when I saw the FAT eighths, the finished quilt might be a bit boring. Well...was I wrong! It was placid, not boring. Absolutely loved it.

Moonwork's orange blocks were another great surprise to me. I've never been a fan of orange but her fabric seemed to hit just the right tone for me. Think of those pops, creamscicles (sp?) I think they were called. Seeing all the blocks together, well, it was beautiful!

I think it was BeaBeatty who had a Parisian inspired fabric. Not the same as what was posted earlier but a similar idea. Her blocks also turned out very well. Some rather unique blocks were made for her if I recall.

Newbies, you can send whatever fabric you like as long as it's 100 percent cotton and pre-washed and pressed. The fabric can be all the same for everyone or different for each person. Fabrics for each group can be the same or different. It's entirely up to you. Just be sure that if you have a vision in your head of your fabric used with certain colors, that you clearly express that in writing both here and attached to each and every FAT eighth. For example, you might want any color except purple to be used. Or perhaps you want only white. Please be clear if you mean solid white or would white on white be ok too. The clearer you can be, the better. Be careful about being too specific as that can backfire and make it difficult for others to find. Black is usually easy, white is easy, but a certain shade of teal might be tough. Plus, my idea of teal might not be the same as yours. We Boomers have to accept that a certain degree of variation from our vision is inevitable. But I do try to get members to follow the color requests as closely as possible but sometimes the requests are inadvertently overlooked. It happens.

Also, and this is a big one. The goal is a 12 1/2 inch (unfinished) block. In order to make blocks most usable, we've got to get as close as reasonably possible to that size. The easiest way to ensure that is to measure as you go and check the final block size before you package it up for shipping.

I cannot think of anything else right now. Keep asking questions. Keep in mind, I'll send an email with details, way too many details if you ask me, when sign-ups are done. Most of it will be old news by then - hopefully!

Thank you to everyone who has signed up so far! I'll post sign-up status this coming weekend so everyone will know where we are and who's signed up for what.

Later, Boomers!
