so pleased to see this post, as I've had this problem for a while now with my Brother. Don't know how to take the covers off though, so have been putting it off till she goes for service. Haven't been game to unscrew the bottom in case it's connected elsewhere. If anyone knows of a youtube video on how to 'uncover' these machines, please pm me the link.
