Because I enjoy Great Brit history, my daughter put me onto the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. These are fictional and about Scotland, but I am totally immersed in her writing style,, the locations, the characters -WOW - and the dramatic story line. Diana truly has a gift for writing; now her books are being turned into movie series for the Starz channel to enormous acclaim. Costumes are to die for!

Each book of the 8, so far, are about 800 pages, making them wonderfully captivating and detailed. I am starting through them for the second time, finding so much I missed or didn't understand the first reading. These characters become part of your circle, which has fans of the series in "droughtlander" until the next is published, hopefully next year! Lovin' me some Outlander!!
