I did a number of these several years ago -- I found an Easter egg shape on a coloring page, enlarged it, then pieced some fabric and cut it out. I did not bind them, but rather used the birthing method to finish them, then quilted them. I sewed several together to make a table runner -- unfortunately it is in some box somewhere. I remember seeing a pattern as well -- here is a pattern of one (though not the one I saw originally):
