lynnie, use Peltex, a super heavy stabilizer instead of batting. I also bought crystal clear envelopes (50 for $10.95 at a bit larger than 4" x 6") at envelopes.com, to protect my work. Be forewarned, they do cost more to mail than a regular postcard or a normal envelope. Check with your post office.
