You only said that it was for a project ....
Which hints to me, that this may not be for a quilt!
If so, you might want to take a look at upholstery products that could be considerably thicker than traditional quilt battings.

Some other considerations, regardless of what product you choose ....
How will that thickness change once it is quilted?
What is the minimum distance for quilting? .... again an upholstery product could give a broader allowance, though, you may not have a cuddly quilt in the end, if that is what you are wanting.
