I think it's great you got to see who got the quilt. I'm sure you were just beeming!!
I think that sometimes people get too caught up in the "perfect world".
Wish there was one.
I love donating to different causes, only because if I were in those shoes, I would want someone to help me out too.
Actually, I was there at one time. When I had my youngest, we were getting ready to move from RI to GA. Child of mine decided she wanted a bottle and nothing to do with me. We really didn't have much money and we were driving 2 cars with 2 kids and 2 cats. (child was 2 weeks old when we started the travel) I found that I could buy a case of 3oz bottles of formula for $30 at the local pharmacy. It would cost me about $100 to buy enough for our trip. My mom had mentioned to the nurse that was there for my delivery, the delimma I had. Three days before we were ready to leave, I got a phone call from the nurse. She said I had to go to the hospital because there was something I forgot to sign and needed to have it signed ASAP. I go there and to my surprise, there were 10 cases of the little bottles of formula for me. The nurse explained to the distributor what was going on and it was left for me. I was amazed!!
Not only was the formula there, there was also a care package for my oldest daughter so she didn't feel left out. I just stood there and cried.
I think if there were more people like those of us that donate/give of ourselves to different charities/organizations, the world would be a better place.
