I have an 8' long table and hubby put PVC pipe extensions on the bottom of the legs to raise it - 8" for me - and it's long enough 2 put 2 36" cutting mats. Also I took a piece of 2'x4' plywood and covered it with batting and cotton (or canvas) and stapled it to back for my ironing board. I had an old adjustable ironing board and I can put this on top of it to use. It can be removed and ironing board folded up.
