I like your quilt very much. The center panel is beautiful. You mentioned that you know what you plan to do quilting-wise in the center panel. I would think the quilting in the outer blocks should complement that style of quilting. In my opinion too many styles of quilting such as Leah Day does might be distracting in a quilt with more traditional blocks. I like the idea of echo quilting in the outer blocks or stitching 1/4 inch inside each piece of each piece.
