I have the June Taylor strip cutter too and have the same problems as you stated. Went to my BOM class this past weekend and noticed she had a Creative Grid one sitting on the sidelines so talked to her about it and checked it out for myself. Its wider than our JT one, and its not supposed to slip due to the grips on the underside. So when my checkbook will permit it I'll be getting one of those.............probably in the next month or two as I like using this type of ruler for strip cutting. For the time being I found if I turned mine the other way I don't have as many chips on the starting area.
