I found LED machine replacement bulbs at Sew Classic. They work great. On my vintage New Home the very tip of the bulb is a little longer than the machine body so it shines on the entire needle area.
My vintage Viking 6430 has the light in the arm area so it lights up the entire sewing area -- I love this function of this machine.
