Default a new scrappy with a different take on an older pattern

Almost 2 years ago a gal on the QB posted a pix of her "Tiddlywinks" quilt, a free pattern from Roxanne Carter, I think the name was. I made a bunch of them for charity and forgot about this great pattern. Last week I was watching a MSQC video, and she was making a quilt that I realized it was Tiddlywinks turned a different way, and I made the one shown here. The one on the video showed a white background, where I used a purple with white dots (which don't seem to show up, it isn't a solid fabric) but I don't like using a lot of white on a child's quilt. (they get too dirty too quickly even tho' they are so pretty) But then the purple seemed overwhelming, so I dove into the bag of 2-1/2" squares and added corners to the purple. It's actually a deeper not so bright purple. I like the way this turned out.

In case you don't remember Tiddlywinks, this is the link to that posting I made. Sorry I can't give credit to the original poster, I didn't take down her name.
