I think I've got it. It occurred to me that there was no rule that said you couldn't use the same fabric more than once, so I used the "main" fabric twice and then filled in with the co-ordinating green, orange and yellow strips. I'm going to use a bright yellow fabric for the ribbon.
I think I'm happy with it.
Time will tell.
