Thank you for sharing your gorgeous repurposed tablecloth and provoking ideas in many of us for our own heritage pieces! (Though, how we can ever live up to YOUR amazing talents I can't imagine!!)
But, I personally can not wait to pull out a couple of nearly 100 year old damask pieces of my grandmother's and great-grandmother's, which I am so blessed to have as part of my inheritance. I've been dreaming about starting a handquilting project.

Thank You Jan---most heirloom pieces are not very large so it makes it much easier to pass trough a domestic machine. My suggestion to anyone that is not very versed in the quilting is to pre-mark the piece heavily and run your machine in a slow but steady pace!
