I've made a lot of those microwave bowl potholders & have some of my own that I've been using for about 3 years now. I've never had a problem with them & not heard of any that I've given as gifts. We use ours every single day for warming up food (be it soup, veggies, taco sauce, etc.) Be sure & use 100% cotton fabric, batting, & thread.
I have been using them for several years and no problems either. I have giving many away and no issues. I do make sure everything is a 100% cotton. Awesome gifts I think.
