Your portrait of Larry is very well done! I wouldn't even attempt to do one of my dogs' face, and I've been quilting for almost 10 years. I have a teacher in one of my classes who has a favorite saying: "all great quilters were once beginners!" I think that helps us all put our work and achievements into the proper prospective.
