That's absolutely true! If I order from e.g. fabric.com or Hancock's, it's still cheaper divided down on the meter, including the postage!
When my friend told me fabric was $25+ per meter in Australia, I recall thinking I'd probably not be able to quilt if I lived there. Perish the thought!!
