I close my cat in my sewing room, when we are at work and at night. I have 1 out of 4 cats that will jump on top of things. He is 3 yr.s old and just onery. he does just like you cat, try confining it to a closed room or large cage - large enough to put a litter box and food and water. I use to do this, it will need something a little higher than the floor of the cage. This room is smaller and no room for it. Sfe for them and my stuff.
