While I am not proficient at paper piecing, I wouldn't try this block any other way. The skinny points would be terribly difficult to do by the regular piecing method.
Thanks for this aberi, it's going to challenge me and I need that right now. I am going to go pull the fabrics this afternoon.
My quilt is going to be eclectic as I vowed to use scraps and stash so that is going to make for some interesting combinations once the blocks are put together.
